Article XIII. Planned Unit Development (PUD) and Special Land Use Approval |
76-487. Auditoriums, stadiums and outdoor theaters. |
(a)
Permission. Auditoriums, stadiums and outdoor theaters may be allowed
only in the M-2 district, except auditoriums which may also be allowed
in the C-4 district.
(b)
Requirements and conditions. Requirements and conditions shall be
as follows:
(1)
Viewing screens and/or stages. Viewing screens and/or stages
must be located so as to avoid distracting passing motorists on the
streets and highways adjoining the site.
(2)
Entrances. There shall be at least one entrance, and all entrances
shall be separate from exits. There shall not be more than one entrance
from any single access road. In any case where left turns are permitted
from the access road into the entranceway, such entrance shall be
a minimum width of 33 feet from any two-lane road and a minimum width
of 44 feet from any road of three or more lanes. If left turns are
prohibited, such entrances shall be a minimum width of 22 feet.
(3)
Exits. There shall be at least one exit, and all exits shall
be separate from entrances. There shall not be more than one exit
to any single access road. If left turns are permitted to the access
road from the exit, such exit shall be a minimum width of 22 feet
for any two-lane road and a minimum width of 44 feet for any road
of three or more lanes. If left turns are prohibited, such exits shall
be a minimum width of 11 feet for two-lane roads and 22 feet for any
road of three or more lanes.
(c)
Vehicle ticket windows. If vehicle ticket windows are provided, they
shall be made available in the ratio of one such window for each 250
cars of parking space capacity.
