76-497. Colleges, universities and similar institutions., Article XIII. Planned Unit Development (PUD) and Special Land Use Approval, Chapter 76. Zoning, Code of Ordinances, Code of Ordinances, Chesterfield

(a)

Permission. Colleges, universities and similar institutions may be allowed in all residential districts and the O-2 district.

(b)

Requirements and conditions. Requirements and conditions shall be as follows:

(1)

Any use permitted in this section shall be developed on sites of at least 15 acres in area.

(2)

All ingress to and egress from the site shall be directly onto a major or secondary thoroughfare having an existing or planned right-of-way width of at least 120 feet, as indicated on the master plan.

(3)

No building shall be closer than 50 feet to any property line when such property line abuts or is adjacent to land zoned for residential purposes.

(4)

The site shall consist of a minimum area of 400 square feet per pupil.

(c)

Environmental provisions and parking requirements. Environmental provisions and parking requirements shall be as required in articles V and VI of this chapter.
